Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Vice President, Chief Medical Officer, and Central Region Chair of Psychiatry at Carrier Clinic in Belle Mead, New Jersey. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for psychiatric services at Carrier Clinic.
• Chair the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health.
• Advise the President, Chief Hospital Executive, Central Region President, and Board of Trustees on clinical affairs, quality goals, and education.
• Advance the Carrier Clinic and "Carrier Behavioral Health" brand on a state and national level.
• Oversee medical staff recruitment, performance evaluations, and continuing education.
• Develop and implement clinical programs and policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards (Joint Commission, CMS, State).
• Lead performance improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Manage departmental budgets and resources.
• Collaborate with other regional chairs to develop and implement a strategic plan for psychiatry within the Central Region of HMH.
• Provide leadership to employed psychiatrists within the Central Region, including recruitment, evaluation, and mentorship.
• Represent Carrier Clinic in the community and with external agencies.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• M.D. or D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School.
• Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Current New Jersey medical license, CDS, and DEA certificates.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with progressive leadership responsibility.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

 

COMPENSATION:

Starting Base Salary: $383,406.40

Education and Certifications: Degrees attained, residencies, fellowships, board certifications, research, and publications.

Productivity: Levels of productivity, quality and patient satisfaction.

Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.

Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.

Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the specialty and/or sub-specialty.

Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered. 

 

In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
