Job Description

The Department of Psychiatry has an exciting opportunity for one full-time, licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Psychiatry team.


The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri is dedicated to the treatment of patients, education of learners and research into mental illness. The department provides a full array of services including inpatient care at the University of Missouri Psychiatric Hospital (MUPC), 24/7 emergency and hospital consultative services and outpatient adult and child clinics.

This position will hold a title of Nurse Practitioner. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.

Preferred Qualifications Education: Graduation from a certified NP/PA program and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Missouri


Credentials: AP/MHNP, F/MHNP, CAQ-Psychiatry, PA-C, strong background in mental/behavioral health.
 

Years of Experience:   At Least 2 years or a completion of a Psychiatry PA/NP Fellowship is preferred 
 

Additional Training:  CAQ/ANCC Certified
 

Bachelor's degree in nursing is required. 


Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. 


Preparation as a nurse practitioner in either a Master's program or a certificate program. Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing.
