Compensation: 1099
- 400/hr 8-hour guaranteed shift
- 450/hr overtime
- 400/day for weekday home call
- 600/day for weekend home call
- 450/hr for callbacks
- Malpractice insurance provided
Schedule & Call Requirements:
- Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Mandatory rotating call on evenings, nights, and weekends
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive chronic pain management in an outpatient interventional pain clinic
- Address behavioral health and bio-psycho-social aspects of pain care
- Perform and supervise inpatient pain evaluations and interventional procedures
- Perform interventional pain procedures under fluoroscopic guidance, including facet injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablation, epidurals (interlaminar and transforaminal), joint blocks, spinal cord stimulation, and implantation of drug delivery systems for chronic pain and spasticity.
- Deliver perioperative anesthetic care and oversee CRNAs and anesthesia residents
- Conduct preoperative assessments and provide intraoperative anesthesia
- Administer general and regional anesthesia for a variety of procedures, including general, vascular, orthopedic (including spine), thoracic, urology, ophthalmology, ENT, GI/endoscopy, interventional radiology, ICU, cardiac cath lab, as well as cardioversion and ECT.
- Manage post-anesthesia care, admissions/discharges, and electronic documentation
- Ensure compliance with AAA and JC standards
- Participate in planning and implementing program policies and objectives
- Teach medical students and fellows (affiliated with SUNY Upstate Medical University)
Requirements:
- Fellowship trained in Pain Medicine from an ACGME-accredited program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Medical license from any state – you do not need a NY license
