Job Description

Tennova North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine Physician to join our Internal Medicine Residency Continuity Clinic team working with and teaching residents.

Overview

  • Full-time hospital employed position
  • 100% outpatient setting
  • Serve as a clinical preceptor, supervising and mentoring Internal Medicine residents in their continuity clinic
  • Guide residents in evidence-based patient care, professional development, and practice management
  • Supervise residents in their documentation in the EMR, writing of orders, and articulation of care plans by reviewing resident notes and adding the appropriate addendums
  • Provide two didactic lectures per year
  • Complete annual evaluations 
  • Work in a collaborative, team-based academic environment with opportunities for scholarly activities

Qualifications

  • Board-certified in the United States
  • Must have completed residency in the United States
  • A strong interest in teaching residents in an academic clinical setting
