Live and Practice in the Marshall Islands | Diverse, Broad-Scope Role

Acuity International is seeking experienced, board-certified or board-eligible physicians in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine to join our medical team in the Marshall Islands. This unique position blends broad-spectrum primary care with emergency response and offers the chance to serve in both clinical and leadership roles in a dynamic international setting.

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Are:

  • Board-certified (or eligible) in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine
  • Experienced in a wide range of specialties including GYN, dermatology, ENT, trauma care, cardiology, and more
  • Interested in global health and prepared for flexible, impactful medical care in a remote location

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide direct patient care in a clinic or small hospital setting
  • Diagnose and treat injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions; refer patients as needed
  • Coordinate with local hospitals and medevac services for patient stabilization and transfers
  • May serve as Site Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer
  • Deliver care aligned with U.S. standards and uphold the AHA Bill of Rights for Patients
  • Attend meetings, track outcomes, and support continuous improvement
  • Ensure safe and clean clinical work environments
  • Document all patient encounters and follow-up needs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school, with completed internship and residency
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in chosen specialty
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and ATLS
  • Valid DEA license
  • Recent (within 6 of the past 12 months) hands-on patient care experience
  • Experience in both hospital and ambulatory settings, with knowledge of outpatient and inpatient therapies
  • Board Certification or eligibility in:
    • American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM/ABMS)
    • American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
    • American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)
  • U.S. Passport valid for at least 6 more months
  • U.S. Driver’s License
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Acuity medical software
  • Ability to speak, write, and communicate fluently in English
  • Favorable background check, drug screen, and CNACI security clearance
  • Must be medically and dentally fit per Acuity and client readiness guidelines
  • Willingness to sign and abide by an International Assignment Agreement

Work Environment:

  • Typical clinical or office setting; some travel required
  • Based in the Marshall Islands (air travel to/from Kwajalein included)
  • Prolonged periods of sitting and standing
