GI Pathology Job Description

United Digestive is seeking board-certified AP/CP Pathologists for part-time and full-time employment in their Alpharetta, GA laboratory.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least three (3) years fellowship experience in surgical gastrointestinal pathology. Experience in a private lab preferred. Hematopathology Fellowship or experience. Applicants must have an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree, be board certified in Anatomic Pathology, possess or be eligible for Medical Licenses in Georgia and Florida, and be able to obtain multiple, additional state medical licenses as needed. 

Successful candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a patient-first attitude, and a strong work ethic focused on being a team player.

Responsibilities
The GI staff pathologist will provide diagnostic interpretation of anatomic and clinical pathology for gastroenterology specimen. Responsibilities include diagnostic interpretation of endoscopy and surgical specimens, report generation, quality reviews, and peer consultations. The pathologist will carry a substantial diagnostic case load and has the opportunity to participate in the organization’s governance structure as well as interact and collaborate with lab team members on laboratory quality, operations, and continuous improvement. Our pathologists partner regularly with the gastroenterology providers associated with our partner practices to provide the very best in GI patient care.
