Outpatient Clinic Physician - On Call P/T

The Senior Physician - Medical Director plays a crucial role in directing medical and infection control activities, ensuring high-quality general medical evaluation and treatment for patients with psychiatric disorders. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and supervising Physicians and APRNs in the general medical clinic
  • Performing comprehensive physical assessments and medical history
  • Overseeing the hospital infection control plan and monitoring infectious diseases
  • Participating in audits and performance improvement activities
  • Providing treatment to state hospital employees injured in the course of employment

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) required:

  • Knowledge of APRN scope of practice and public health principles
  • Skills in patient care, use of medical tools, and project management
  • Ability to diagnose physical disorders, interpret lab analyses, and communicate effectively

Requirements include a medical doctor license in Texas, graduation from an accredited college of medicine, completion of a residency program, and experience in medical, clinical, or public health work.
