Hospice Physician – Robin Johnson Hospice House (Gaston County)

Location: Gastonia, NC | Full-Time

Carolina Caring, a leading provider of serious illness care in Western North Carolina, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Physician to join our team at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Gastonia, NC. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide meaningful care in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment while overseeing a talented team of nurse practitioners.

Position Highlights:

  • Monday–Friday schedule based at Robin Johnson Hospice House, a 6-bed inpatient unit
  • Approximately 6 weekends per year of rounding and call coverage
  • Supervision of nurse practitioners supporting hospice care delivery
  • Collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, chaplains, and social workers
  • Must obtain and maintain hospital privileges at Caromont Regional Medical Center

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in a primary care specialty (Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, etc.)
  • Hospice & Palliative Medicine Certification preferred or obtained within two years of employment
  • Must hold or be eligible for an unrestricted NC medical license
  • Leadership experience and the ability to support advanced practice providers
  • Hospice or palliative care experience strongly preferred
