Army Reserve (Part-time)
Student Loan Repayment – Up to $250,000 through annual payments of $40,000 to qualifying federal loans via the Health Professions Loan Repayment Program (HPLRP)
Incentive Pay – $59,000 annually for 2–4 years (must have completed residency)
Residency Support – Monthly stipend during residency with a commitment to Army Reserve service post-completion (U.S. citizenship required)

Education – Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited U.S. medical or osteopathic school ? Foreign medical graduates may apply with a permanent certificate from the Educational Council for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
Licensure – Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the U.S., District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
Citizenship – U.S. citizenship required for Active Duty ? Permanent residents are eligible for the Reserve component
Training – Completion of an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program
Age – Generally must be under age 42 at time of commissioning (age waivers may be available)
Physical Standards – Must meet medical fitness and screening criteria
Security Clearance – Qualify for background and security checks per Army standards
