Cardiologist (Advanced Heart Failure) - Newport Beach, CA

Responsibilities

  • Perform ambulatory and inpatient cardiology consultations.
  • Deliver advanced noninvasive imaging: echo, TEE, cardiac CT/MRI, nuclear stress testing, rhythm monitoring.
  • Provide full-spectrum coronary interventional care, including CHIP and CTO procedures.
  • Execute structural heart interventions (TAVR, TMVR, LAA closures)
  • Offer electrophysiology services including ablations and device implantations.
  • Manage complex heart failure cases with ECMO and percutaneous LVAD therapies.
  • Treat adult congenital heart conditions (ASD, PFO, VSD closures)
  • Promote preventive cardiovascular care through lifestyle counseling and risk factor management. 

Requirements:

  • Completion of an advanced heart failure fellowship from a U.S. accredited institution
  • Board-certification or board-eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure  
  • Experience preferred, and new graduates will be considered.
  • Experience or specialized fellowship training in advanced heart failure/mechanical circulatory support or aortic surgery is desirable.
  • Active CA Medical license or Eligible for California State Medical licensure
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and able to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Hoag Hospital.
