Lead Psychiatrist Opportunity at Kerrville State Hospital

Join Our Team at Kerrville State Hospital as a Lead Psychiatrist:

  • Direct and oversee psychiatric examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Provide specialized psychiatric treatments and procedures
  • Lead patient recovery teams and guide treatment plans
  • Collaborate with medical disciplines for comprehensive care
  • Review and analyze medical records for quality care

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in committees and performance improvement activities
  • Develop and implement individualized psychiatric recovery plans
  • Conduct psychiatric clinics and reviews
  • Collaborate with medical staff for patient care
  • Maintain communication with staff and participate in audits

Requirements:

  • MD license in Texas, Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry
  • DEA registration and NPI enrollment
  • 4+ years of psychiatry experience and residency training

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong diagnostic and treatment skills
  • Ability to work independently with good judgment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in electronic healthcare systems and Microsoft Office
