The Department of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a full-time, pediatric sports medicine surgeon to join our program at a top-ranked children’s hospital.
Children’s Mercy Sports Medicine Center (https://www.childrensmercy.org/departments-and-clinics/orthopedics/sports-medicine/) offers a full spectrum of world-class care for youth, adolescent, and young adult athletes in Kansas City and throughout the Midwest. Our multi-disciplinary team consists of 2 orthopedic surgeons, 3 sports medicine physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, 40 athletic trainers, 15 physical therapists, a sports psychologist, and sports dietitians. In addition, the Orthopedic Surgery department includes 11 additional surgeons and one non-operative musculoskeletal physician with sections of hand surgery, spine surgery, sports medicine, and trauma. Children’s Mercy Kansas City is the academic training site for numerous pediatric, family practice, and orthopedic residency programs in the Kansas City area.
The ideal candidate will be board certified or board eligible in orthopedic surgery and have completed ideally both pediatric orthopedic and sports medicine fellowships or a pediatric orthopedic fellowship with significant sports exposure.
