Lead Dentist Opportunity in Mexia, Texas

We are seeking a dedicated Dentist to join our team at the Supported Living Center in Mexia, Texas. As the Lead Dentist, you will play a crucial role in providing advanced dental care to individuals in our care, elevating their oral hygiene and overall health. This position offers the opportunity to oversee a team of dental professionals and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

 

  • Provide advanced dental care and treatment to individuals with challenging behavioral and medical issues
  • Lead and oversee other dentists, dental assistants, and dental hygienists
  • Implement best practices to improve oral function, hygiene, and appearance
  • Develop and implement desensitization practices for individuals with unique needs
  • Document dental services and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and guardians

In addition to providing exceptional dental care, you may also have the opportunity for additional pay for evening, night, weekend, or maximum security location work. Your role will involve working closely with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, so strong communication skills and a compassionate approach are essential.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Must be licensed as a dentist by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners
  • Experience in general practice dentistry is required, with a minimum of five years preferred
  • Knowledge of oral hygiene best practices and dental care standards
  • Ability to work with individuals with unique needs and challenging behaviors
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders
