UNC Rockingham Per Diem Hospitalist position in Eden, NC

UNC Health Rockingham has a current need for a Board Certified/Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician (MD/DO) to join our inpatient Hospitalist team. This is a Per Diem (.01 FTE) position. This is a wonderful opportunity to join an inclusive team of professionals, dedicated to providing quality patient care.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of inpatient experience and clinical support on Hospitalist team

Average daily census of 28-32 (total)

Specialty and Subspecialty support includes Cardiology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, General Surgery, Orthopedics Physician.

Schedule: 2 or more shifts a month (12 hours, 7am-7pm)

Open ICU with support from Registered Nurses, Cardiac Technicians and Respiratory Therapist

Those in the Piedmont Triad region of central NC are just two hours from the NC Mountains and 3 hours to the coastal area.

Education Requirements:
● Graduation from an accredited school of medicine.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
● Board Certified Internal Medicine
● DEA;ACLS;MD
Professional Experience Requirements:
● Prefer prior hospitalist experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
● Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

REASONING ABILITY

High-level quantitative and qualitative reason skills are essential in order to diagnosis medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board certified in Internal Medicine.
