About this role:
As an Epileptologist at Intermountain Medical Center, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will be one of four dedicated epileptologist, supported by 2 epilepsy APPs, and part of the larger Neuroscience Institute group, including in-person and tele-neurohospitalists, neuro critical care physicians, outpatient neurologists, neuro and spine PM&R physicians, neuro-psychologists and psychiatrists.
Intermountain Medical Center (IMED) is Intermountain Health’s flagship hospital near Salt Lake City, Utah and is a Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center, Level 1 Trauma Center, Level 4 Epilepsy Center, Joint Commission Certified Spine Center. IMED supports neuroscience academic research and has foundational support, ranked as a top hospital by U.S. News and World Reports, 5-star CMS ranking and, Leapfrog grade A.
In this position you can anticipate:
An ideal candidate will either have epilepsy fellowship or have at least 1 year of EEG or clinical neurophysiology fellowship with at least 9 months dedicated to epilepsy and EEG training, including evaluating patients in epilepsy monitoring units, critical care EEG reading, along with surgical evaluations for epilepsy patients, to include intracranial EEG monitoring experience.
