RWJBarnabas Health, the largest integrated healthcare system in New Jersey, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director of Heart Failure to lead and grow the Heart Failure Program at Community Medical Center (CMC) in Toms River, NJ. This is a unique leadership opportunity to build and shape an advanced heart failure program in Ocean County, with the support of one of the state’s most comprehensive cardiovascular networks.
The anticipated salary range for this position if hired to work is $650,000 to $820,000 per year.

The Medical Director will dedicate approximately 12 non-clinical hours per week (0.3 FTE) to the development and leadership of the Heart Failure Program, in addition to clinical responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced cardiologist with a passion for improving heart failure outcomes through collaboration, education, and innovation.

Community Medical Center (CMC) is a fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents highly sophisticated medical treatment close to home. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state’s largest non-teaching hospital and Ocean County’s largest and most active health care facility.
Community Medical Center offers a comprehensive array of services, including advanced cancer care, state-of-the-art neurology and neurosurgery services with a neuro-interventional lab and a bi-plane, and cardiac care featuring three cardiac catheterization labs. Surgical services feature two da Vinci robotic surgical platforms including the latest generation da Vinci Xi, and the Mako robotic-arm assisted system for joint replacement surgery. CMC offers technology typically not found at a community hospital, including a 3-Tesla MRI, digital mammography, the Rapid Arc linear accelerator (one of the most sophisticated linear accelerators used for radiation therapy), a CyberKnife for treating inoperable tumors and the Veran Lung Navigation System.
