Under the guidance of the State Hospital Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in our forensic team, conducting competency evaluations, violence risk assessments, and providing expert consultation in legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct forensic psychological assessments and evaluations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on treatment plans
  • Oversee forensic programs and ensure compliance with standards
  • Provide specialized forensic psychological services
  • Offer recovery-focused care and support peer support concepts
  • Provide consultation on forensic-educational activities

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of forensic psychological assessment and treatment
  • Skills in psychotherapy and empirically-supported modalities
  • Ability to conduct forensic assessments and provide expert testimony
  • Licensure as a Psychologist in Texas or reciprocity state
  • Doctoral degree in psychology and relevant experience
