Weekend call is 1:9, with weekend rounding assistance provided by the ID fellow and/or an APP.
The hospital is a tertiary referral center which also houses a long-term acute care hospital. We also do telemedicine consultations for St. Joe’s Livingston, one of the nearby community hospitals, and are planning to expand in-person coverage at this hospital. We use EPIC EMR.
This practice offers the opportunity to participate in academic and research activities including the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The fellowship program has 2-3 fellows. There are regular educational opportunities available with ID Grand Rounds, noon didactic conferences, and microbiology plate rounds. Our fellows regularly publish with our faculty, and we have providers with extensive nationally recognized research publications and leadership experience.
