The Duke Department of Urology is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible urologist with fellowship training in neurourology and reconstructive urology to join our team in Durham, North Carolina.

This is a full-time academic position within the Duke Department of Urology, with a potential adjunct appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will provide specialized care in neuro-urology, pelvic medicine and reconstruction, with a focus on voiding dysfunction, incontinence, neurogenic bladder, and pelvic floor disorders.

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school and Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
  • Fellowship training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS), Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS), or Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery (GURS)
  • Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Provide expert clinical care in neuro-urology and female pelvic medicine
  • Perform office-based procedures (e.g., urodynamics), outpatient surgeries, and OR-based reconstructive procedures
  • Oversee operations of the urodynamics laboratory
  • Participate in clinical research, with opportunities for collaboration with basic science faculty specializing in bladder pathophysiology
  • Educate and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows
  • Share in call responsibilities with the Durham-based urology faculty
