Orthopaedic Associates of New Orleans (OANO), a well-established and highly respected orthopedic group, is seeking a BE/BC, Fellowship-Trained Orthopaedic Joint Surgeon to join our growing practice in New Orleans, Louisiana. This opportunity offers a strong referral base with an immediate need for joint revisions in the greater New Orleans area, excellent clinical support, and a clear pathway to partnership—with general orthopaedic call required.

Join as an associate physician with a guaranteed base salary for two years, a productivity bonus model, and additional call pay from two hospitals.

Practice and Position Highlights

  • Collaborative Team: Join a multidisciplinary team of 7 orthopedic surgeons and 3 physician assistants across subspecialties.
  • Clinical Locations: Two modern and fully equipped clinics in New Orleans and Metairie.
  • Surgical Focus: This position is ideal for a surgeon focused on hip and knee replacement, including complex and joint revision cases (immediate need in greater New Orleans).
  • Call Responsibilities: General orthopaedic call is required and additionally compensated, on a 1:5 schedule.
    • Call volume is manageable with low-energy cases such as hip fractures, ankle fractures, and distal radius fractures. 
    • Physician assistants assist with initial ED consults and post-call support. 
  • Hospital Affiliations: Touro Hospital and Ochsner Baptist
