Position: Oncologist (MD/DO)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Part-Time (3 days per week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain clinical skills in oncology and provide direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
- Consult with other specialties when appropriate.
- Supervise and provide consultation to mid-level providers, residents, and/or medical students.
- Participate in departmental call schedule, medical education programs, staff meetings, and committees as assigned.
- Engage in process improvement initiatives related to practice.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and legible medical records.
- Follow evidence-based medicine practices for efficient resource management.
- Provide appropriate patient and family education regarding care plans.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current license to practice in the State of Iowa.
- Board certification in oncology within five years of residency/fellowship or waiver approved by Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.
