Oncologist (MD/DO) – Part-Time with Top-Tier Benefits | Broadlawns Medical Center, Des Moines, IA

Position: Oncologist (MD/DO)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM | Part-Time (3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain clinical skills in oncology and provide direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
• Consult with other specialties when appropriate.
• Supervise and provide consultation to mid-level providers, residents, and/or medical students.
• Participate in departmental call schedule, medical education programs, staff meetings, and committees as assigned.
• Engage in process improvement initiatives related to practice.
• Ensure timely, accurate, and legible medical records.
• Follow evidence-based medicine practices for efficient resource management.
• Provide appropriate patient and family education regarding care plans.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current license to practice in the State of Iowa.
• Board certification in oncology within five years of residency/fellowship or waiver approved by Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, and Board of Trustees.

Preferred:

• Prior practice experience.
