Hennepin Healthcare, Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join the clinical team. This full time position offers a competitive salary and retirement benefit program. The position includes patient care responsibilities in our state of the art, 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The PICU is located within a large Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma center, Burn center and safety net hospital in downtown Minneapolis with a mission to provide exceptional care without exception. In addition to comprehensive care for critically ill patients in the PICU, duties include providing consultative services to pediatric patients in the burn unit, pediatric sedation services, and pediatric emergency response team services. Additional inpatient pediatric units include the mother-baby unit, neonatal ICU, and pediatric medical/surgical wards. We provide expert multi-disciplinary care to pediatric patients with life-threatening, complex medical conditions and supports a patient/family-centered culture. We seek an individual to become a team member of our small, professional and dedicated staff of pediatric intensivists, supported by an amazing group of nursing professionals and additional sub-specialties. The department of pediatrics faculty includes hospitalists, neonatologists, primary care physicians, infectious disease, pulmonary, and neurology subspecialists, in addition to surgical, rehab, and pediatric child life staff. We provide acute critical care services as a trauma referral center for the Twin Cities and surrounding areas, through transfers, direct emergency department access and directs admissions.
