Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a full-time clinical practice in the Emergency Department at JPS
  • Assist in the day-to-day oversight of Emergency Department operations
  • Drive quality improvement, enhance patient satisfaction, and optimize productivity
  • Participate actively in hospital committees and leadership meetings

Position Requirements:

  • Board certified in emergency medicine (ABEM/ABOEM)
  • Completed an accredited EM residency
  • Prior leadership experience (ideally as Associate or Assistant Medical Director)
  • Demonstrated commitment to residency education in emergency medicine
  • Ideal candidates will have solid emergency medicine experience

About Us

The program at JPS was established in 2011 as a fully accredited three-year program with 15 residents per class. JPS is recognized as the only Level 1 Trauma Center for Tarrant County and a comprehensive level 1 stroke center. Seeing over 130,000 patient visits annually, the county hospital population provides incredible learning opportunities in volume and pathology. In addition, the department supports ultrasound, administration, street medicine, and education fellowships.
