We’re actively interviewing for a Board-Certified Cardiologist to help expand our cardiovascular services and support our rapidly growing patient base.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional cardiovascular care in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and provide direct care.
- Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions through appropriate testing, imaging, and treatment plans.
- Interpret lab results, EKGs, echocardiograms, arterial and venous vascular studies, stress tests (including nuclear and exercise), and stress echocardiograms.
- Collaborate with and advise primary care providers on best practices for cardiovascular disease management.
- Provide minimal rotating after-hours phone coverage for urgent patient concerns.
- Stay current with advancements and research in cardiovascular medicine.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain one) in North Carolina.
- Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology (American Board of Internal Medicine).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to team-based, integrated care.
- Outstanding patient service and professionalism.
- Basic computer proficiency; experience with Athena EMR is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 2 years of full-time experience as a practicing cardiologist.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Compassionate communicator with a patient-centered approach.
