This is a unique opportunity to design and grow a program that will serve families across western North Dakota, where the demand for pediatric services continues to rise.

You will join a supportive team that currently includes one Pediatrician and one Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, working alongside on-site Primary Care, Internal Medicine, and Women’s Health providers. With more than 600 babies delivered annually at our hospital, the need for dedicated pediatric care is clear — and you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of children’s health in this community.

Position Highlights

  • Department-building role: opportunity to grow and shape the pediatric program from the ground up

  • Clinic schedule: Flexible — 4x10s or 5x8s per week

  • Call schedule: Currently 1:3, moving to 1:4 with additional hires

  • Patient volume: 15–20 patients per day in clinic

  • Hospital responsibilities: Direct admissions to Level II Nursery; higher-acuity cases transferred to Bismarck or Fargo

  • Procedures: Circumcisions, intubations, newborn resuscitation, and c-section attendance (no conscious sedation in clinic)

  • Clinic setup: Located on hospital campus (3rd floor) with dedicated office, shared procedure room, and 3–4 exam rooms
