Opportunity Highlights:

University Hospitals Digestive Health Institute is seeking a medical director for the Nutrition Service Team. The director will oversee a multidisciplinary team including nutritionists, gastroenterologists, surgeons and other specialists. They will be focused on patients with nutritional deficiencies due to cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroparesis, chronic pancreatitis and other acute and chronic medical diagnoses. Clinical responsibilities include the oversight of inpatient parenteral support services. The leader will provide expertise to expand our clinical services and research focused on nutrition protocols and care delivery, with a goal to apply and secure extramural funding for research.

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible Gastroenterologist, Surgeon or Endocrinologist
  • Hospitalist who has, or is interested in additional training in nutrition services.
  • Active Ohio Medical License in good standing upon effective date of employment
