We’re seeking a passionate and driven Physician to join our Per Diem Urgent Care team in Ludington, Michigan. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health of our community while working in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Opportunity Details

  • This opportunity offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment while enjoying the charm of a lakeside community
  • Provide acute care services for patients of all ages in an urgent care setting
  • Urgent Care operational hours are Monday – Friday, 8am – 8pm and Saturday 8am – 2pm
  • Must be willing to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts per month
  • Physician must be comfortable working in a fast-paced Urgent Care environment offering treatment for conditions such as:
    • Sprains and strains
    • Stitches
    • Rashes
    • Cold and Flu symptoms
    • Tooth pain
    • Sore throat
    • Pink eye
    • Lower back pain
    • Animal or insect bite
    • Urinary tract infection
    • Ear pain
  • Our Ludington Urgent Care office also offers convenient on-site access to several services including lab, rehabilitation, workplace health and x-ray

Requirements

  • Post graduate experience required; Urgent Care experience preferred
  • Must be willing to pick up at least 2 shifts/month
  • Physicians: Shall be board certified in an appropriate area of clinical practice or is board eligible and will become board certified within five years following the Start Date (unless sooner required by the applicable medical staff bylaws)
  • Active Michigan medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA license
  • ACLS/BLS certification (must be maintained)

Duties & Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

  • Providing direct patient care
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Participating in teaching and mentoring
  • Documenting in Epic EMR
  • Engaging in quality improvement initiatives
  • Supporting community health efforts
