Job Summary:
HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is looking for a Colon and Rectal Surgeon to join their established team at Summerville Colorectal Surgery.
Qualified Candidates/Details:
- Fellowship trained in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Must be board certified or board eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Must have a South Carolina license or the ability to be licensed in South Carolina prior to starting
- Established practiced with a good distribution of major abdominal and anorectal cases as well as endoscopy
- No General Surgery Call expectations
- Shared practice call between Physicians and APPs
- Robotic surgery capabilities and interest required
- Ability to work with General Surgery residents

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital has invested in growing the hospital’s women’s and pediatric care so that families can receive high quality care close to home. In recent years HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital has opened a new women’s and neonatal tower that includes 30 postpartum private rooms, 12 labor and delivery rooms, a 6 bed Level III NICU and 7 special care nursery beds. Trident Health system consolidated all obstetric and neonatal care to one location at HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital in 2019. In addition, HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital offers a high risk obstetric Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic, comprehensive breast health care at the Summerville Breast Center, and a roster of board-certified physicians specializing in women’s care. Pediatric care includes a 10-bed pediatric ER, inpatient pediatric unit and pediatric intensive care unit, and pediatric subspecialty programs including general surgery, orthopedics, and gastroenterology.
