Responsibilities

Ascension Seton is looking for a Breast Fellowship Trained Radiologist to support our growing patient population.

This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to partner with Ascension Seton to provide Radiology services to patients. Ascension Texas Imaging is an outpatient imaging group with multiple sites across the Austin metro area, one of the fastest growing cities in the nation. Our centers have seen exponential growth as we attempt to accommodate and serve these new patients. Breast Imaging has seen the largest growth and naturally we are seeking another Breast fellowship trained Radiologist to help meet these needs. Requisite skills include screening, diagnostic exams, and procedures utilizing mammogram, ultrasound, and MRI. We offer a highly competitive compensation package with a base salary and RVU based bonus structure. Hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, no call, no weekends, every holiday off and 6 weeks vacation. This amounts to about 220 days worked per year. Moonlighting is available with malpractice covered. We are directly hired by Ascension (no partnership track) with non profit retirement options and full benefits. Position Highlights:

• No inpatient work
• Provide contrast coverage as needed.
• 6 weeks of PTO and CME provided
• Currently there are 8 Radiologists in the group and 2 Mammography Radiologists in the group. A 3rd is being added to this team due to growth of the program. 
• Possible remote work 1 to 2 days per week depending on specialtiy. 
•  Full PACs system with high end single dual screen 12 megapixel monitors for home readings, and the same system is on site at each clinic.  

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and treats patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinates discharge planning with case management.
• Recommends, participates in, and works to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
• Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
• Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
• Provides appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
• Participates in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty

Requirements

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

Required Credential(s):
• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Texas Medical Board.

Education:
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.

Additional Preferences

Candidates must be Fellowship trained in Radiology to be considered for this position.
