Job Description

The Clinical Director of Education and Best Practices is a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating clinical education programs and evidence-based practice initiatives across a specified Service Line. They ensure that clinical teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools to deliver safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. The Clinical Director collaborates with interdisciplinary leaders to align education with organizational goals, regulatory standards, and emerging best practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development and execution of clinical education programs and content creation, including yearly and continuous learning opportunities, in partnership with the Clinical Education leaders.
  • Partners with Service Line clinical and operational leaders to develop methods for dissemination of educational material to clinicians.
  • Identifies learning needs through data analysis, peer review trends, and quality outcomes.
  • Serves as Chair of the specified Quality Committees Education & Best Practices Subcommittee.
  • Collaborates with Clinical Director Occurrence Review to identify clinical topics in need of focused education, developing and implementing appropriate learning strategies to address identified topics.
  • Partners with service line clinical and operational leaders to develop methods for monitoring and tracking utilization of materials by clinicians and success measures on effectiveness of educational content.
  • Serve as a clinical education advisor to clinical and operational leadership.
  • Support performance improvement efforts through targeted education and coaching.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical policies, protocols, and pathways.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal skills Proficiency in public speaking, both virtually and in-person
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills necessary to interact with personnel at all levels within and external to the company
  • Proven expertise in clinical education, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and project management skills.

Education/Experience

  • MD or DO required
  • 7+ years of clinical experience
  • 3+ years in a leadership role focused on clinical education required
