Hospital-Based Pathologist Opportunity Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Alan B. Miller Medical Center Palm Beach Gardens, FL

Alan B. Miller Medical Center, a state-of-the-art facility located in Palm Beach Gardens, is actively seeking a Board-Certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our growing team. This is a hospital-based position offering the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with experienced colleagues.

Position Highlights:

  • Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
  • Fellowship training in general or subspecialty anatomic pathology required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Active Florida medical license required.
  • Shared on-call schedule; 5 weeks of vacation annually.
  • Grossing will be performed by a certified Pathologist Assistant
  • No autopsy responsibilities
  • Opportunities to participate in Breast and Lung Tumor Boards (held three times/month)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examination and evaluation of surgical pathology specimens.
  • Independently perform frozen sections and assess specimen adequacy for cytology.
  • Manage a daily mixed caseload of 30 35 specimens, including:
    • Breast (core biopsies and excisions)
    • Thoracic pathology
    • Non-neoplastic and limited neoplastic GYN.
    • GU, GI, Neuro, limited Head & Neck
    • Limited Hematopathology
    • Cytology: thyroid, lung EBUS, GI EBUS
  • Work closely with laboratory staff and referring physicians to ensure accurate diagnoses and excellent patient care.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
