Exceptional opportunity for a Physician to join one of the nation's largest and most comprehensive correctional healthcare systems at the George Beto Unit located in Tennessee Colony, Texas!
The George Beto Unit is a men's prison in Tennessee Colony, Texas, that houses a large inmate population within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. (TDCJ). The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).
Position Profile:
Annual volume: 5,000
5 bed unit
Physician coverage: 24 hours daily with 12-24-36 hour shift options
Physician Dedicated Call Room
PEARL EMR
Affiliated with UTMB – Angleton Danbury, Clear Lake, League City, & Galveston
BC/BE EM, FP, IM, or General Surgery
ACLS and BLS certification
Full-time (120 hrs./mo.), Part-time (60 hrs./mo.) & PRN options
Independent Contractor 1099 Status
