Full-Spectrum Family Medicine in Wrangell, Alaska – Up to $292k

  • Join a medical team with a mission-driven mentality and provide essential care in a welcoming, tight-knit community 
  • Must be comfortable with the full range of practice to include in and outpatient as well as EM 
  • Call is ~ Q4 
  • 24-hour call:  8a-5p in ER or rounding, 5p-8a from home (rare to come in) 
  • General census of the ED is ~ 3 – 4 per 24-hours 
  • Ability to pick up extra call for extra income for call taken beyond 7 per month 
  • Keep all your skills sharp in a rural community, performing a wide range of procedures from sniffles to emergent medicine (no OB) 
  • Get the support you require from monthly rotating subspecialists 
  • State-of-the-art critical access hospital with 9-bed inpatient with a daily census of 4, and 16-bed long-term care 
  • Potential to transition to a hospitalist/emergency role (7 on & 7 off), or primary care (Mon-Fri) with no call in the near future
