We are seeking a mid-career physiatrist with leadership experience to serve as Program Director for our department’s outpatient rehabilitation programs. Join a dynamic and growing faculty in supporting the expansion of our clinical and academic presence in the Cleveland area.

The Cleveland Clinic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department has exhibited an unprecedented strategic growth in recent years. Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospitals, a joint venture partnership between Cleveland Clinic and Select Medical, are consistently recognized as top ranked inpatient rehabilitation centers in Ohio and nationally. In parallel, our outpatient clinics have expanded, both on Cleveland Clinic main campus and at various regional locations. We are seeking a Medical Director to further the development of subspecialized outpatient programs.

This position entails:

  • Ensuring that outpatient clinics meet objectives and key results, in collaboration with the department’s administrative leadership.
  • Supporting the academic mission of the department and promoting innovation, in collaboration with the department’s Education and Clinical Research leadership.
  • Developing collaborations with key partners within and outside the Neurological Institute
  • Holding outpatient activity in addition to administrative responsibilities.

Practice:

  • Collaboratively with nationally prominent physicians in rehabilitation, neurology, psychiatry and neurosurgery.
  • With outstanding clinical and academic support resources and a very collaborative multidisciplinary faculty.
  • In an environment where you learn and grow professionally through a wide array of educational opportunities, including leadership roles, bolstered by the nationally recognized excellence in clinical care of the Cleveland Clinic.

A Dynamic Academic Department:

In addition to its established residency program, our department has a growing presence in the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, both located in a recently built Medical Education Campus in the middle of the Cleveland Clinic main campus. There is ample opportunity to develop PM&R CME programs and to serve as faculty on programs run by collaborating specialties. The Cleveland Clinic offers training opportunities for clinician educators promoting personal growth within this role.

All of our physicians hold faculty appointments and participate in inter-professional teaching through Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and a multitude of degree-granting institutions.

We offer a competitive salary enhanced with a generous fringe benefits package.
