St. Vincent’s Medical Center, a 520-bed academic and teaching hospital located in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking a Board Eligible or Board-Certified Hospitalist to join our Department of Medicine. As a major affiliate of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, we offer a collaborative, resident-focused environment that values teaching and quality care.

Hospitalist Job Highlights:

• 520 licensed beds
• 14–16 patient census (maximum of 18–20 on some shifts)
• Closed ICU – managed by dedicated intensivists
• Hospitalists run rapid responses, intensivists manage codes
• No block scheduling – approx. 17–19 shifts per month
• 25 Hospitalists in a well-established program
• Full-time position with 4 weeks of paid time off (PTO)
• Academic appointment and teaching opportunities with Quinnipiac residents

Qualifications

• MD or DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine

• Eligible for Connecticut medical licensure

• Strong clinical skills and commitment to teaching and academic engagement

• Interest in scholarly activity (research, quality improvement, publications)
