Huntsville Hospital Heart Center is seeking candidates for Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologists to join our team. HH Heart Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of Huntsville Hospital, one of the largest non-profit health care systems in the nation.
Position Highlights
- Join one of the largest and most established cardiovascular groups in the Southeast
- Part of Huntsville Hospital Health System – 13 regional hospitals, 2,588 beds, 17,000+ employees
- 881-bed regional referral center with 121 cardiology beds and 34 cardiac ICU beds
- Practice includes 28 general cardiologists, 10 interventional cardiologists (4 structural), 5 electrophysiologists, 2 advanced heart failure cardiologists, and 6 cardiothoracic surgeons
- Advanced imaging: Cardiac PET, MRI, CT, and PYP imaging
- Annual volumes include:
- 100,000+ clinic visits
- 12,500+ cath lab procedures
- 3,200+ EP procedures
- 500+ structural heart procedures (TAVR, MitraClip, LAAC)
- Dedicated Heart Failure Clinic with 9,000+ annual visits, 8 specialized HF NPs, and inpatient HF navigator
- Collaboration with Vanderbilt and UAB for LVAD/transplant patients (within 2 hours)
- Teaching opportunities with UAB medical students and in-house FM/IM residents
- Option for a clinical assistant professorship through UAB
- Research opportunities, including PI roles on national/international clinical trials
- Tremendous provider support – dedicated nurse, CMA, scheduler, and chart preloader

Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is a stand-alone facility dedicated to caring for women, infants, children, and adolescents. The hospital offers the region’s most comprehensive and experienced maternal and pediatric programs. Women & Children’s has an average of 4,500 births a year and 16,000 admissions annually. The hospital has in-house anesthesia, 20 LDR rooms, 3 L&D OR suites, a newly renovated 5 bed PACU, a 10 bed OB/GYN ED, a Maternal Fetal Medicine Program, an 11 bed High-Risk Antepartum Unit, an Adult ICU, and a Level III NICU.
