Now hiring full-time or part-time Emergency Medicine physicians for OakBend Medical Center's (OBMC) ER campuses in Richmond, Texas. OBMC is the only independent health system in Texas which ensures physicians the practice support best suited for area’s patient care.  This OBMC commitment, aligned with the IES Physician-owned and managed ER group, unincumbered by outside investors, makes for the ultimate model to achieve excellence in healthcare.

OBMC has two (2) hospital-based ED’s in Richmond and one (1) ER in nearby Wharton, TX.  By cross-credentialing at 3 area ERs, scheduling flexibility and options are extended for the ultimate long-term group practice experience. OBMC provides care for all ages and proudly offer “no-wait ER services”.  These are Lev 3 and Lev 4 ER with most medical specialists represented.

 

OBMC Jackson Street Campus (1 of 3 ERs)

Emergency Department:

  • 16,500 Patients per year
  • 45 patients per day (2 Pts./hour) - 15% admissions rate
  • 16-bed ED
  • APP Coverage 56 hours/week (Noon to 8PM)
  • 24-hour physician coverage; shifts 7A-7P; 7P-7A
  • Hospitalist station is convenient adjacent to the ER.

Hospital:

  • 120-Bed Hospital
  • Full labs on site; Xray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, US, POCUS
  • EMR Paragon (formerly AllScripts); Dictation – Dragon

 

OBMC Williams Way Campus (2 of 3 ERs)

Emergency Department:

  • 11,300 patients per year
  • 31 patients per day (1.8 Pts./hour); 15% admissions rate
  • 8 bed ED
  • Single physician coverage – shifts: 7A -7P; 7P-7A

Hospital:

  • 57 Bed Hospital
  • Full lab on site; XRAY, CT, US, POCUS
  • EMR Paragon (formerly AllScripts); Dictation – Dragon
  • OB/woman’s services focus, physician backup readily available in-house

 

OBMC -Wharton Campus (3 of 3 ERs)

  • 9,500 Patients per year
  • 26 Patients/ day (1.1 /hr)-15% admissions rate
  • 6-bed ED
  • Physician shifts: 24 hours – single physician coverage
  • 40 Bed Hospital
  • Full labs, Xray, CT, US, POCUS
  • EMR Paragon (formerly AllScripts); Dictation – Dragon

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BC/BE Emergency Medicine trained physician
  • BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with recent one year of post-graduate hospital ER experience
  • Texas medical license (or ability to obtain) and DEA
  • ACLS, ATLS, PALS

OakBend Medical Center’s Williams Way Hospital Campus is located on Southwest Freeway in Richmond, Texas.  Williams Way is a full-service acute care hospital and is home to unique health care programs in Fort Bend County including the only No Wait Emergency Room, and the most advanced Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Level II).
