The University of Arizona–Tucson/Banner University Medicine invites applications for a visionary leader to serve as Medical Director of Transplant Hepatology. This is a prestigious leadership opportunity to help build and shape the future of a rapidly expanding and academically vibrant abdominal transplant program at a nationally recognized academic medical center.
As Medical Director, you will lead a growing team of hepatologists committed to clinical excellence, academic collaboration, and innovation in liver disease management and transplantation. You will serve as the clinical and strategic lead for transplant hepatology, working in close partnership with renowned transplant surgeons, transplant anesthesiologists, intensivists, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
This is a transformative moment in Tucson’s transplant landscape. The University of Arizona is advancing into robotic organ transplantation, launching a living donor liver transplant program, and initiating auto-islet transplantation, placing our program at the cutting edge of modern liver care.
