Brown University Health has openings for board certified or eligible psychiatrists interested in working in an inpatient setting. Working at either Newport of Morton Hospital, affiliated hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, you will treat patients with a variety of mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and psychosis. Our programs encompass a comprehensive view of mental health that includes and integrates the biological, psychological, and social dimensions of care.

About the Position:

  • 15-bed inpatient unit (Newport), 19-bed inpatient unit (Morton)
  • Treat patients aged 18+
  • Unit accepts elderly patients depending on functional status
  • Mix of diagnoses: psychotic disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, personality disorders, co-occurring substance use disorders
  • Inpatient behavioral health team includes nurses, psych techs, social workers, and recreation therapist
  • Leadership opportunities available if desired

About you:

  • Board certified or eligible in psychiatry
  • Completion of a US-based psychiatry residency
