About the Opportunity

Salud Para La Gente (Salud) is seeking a Board-Certified OB/GYN Physician to join our OB/GYN Hospitalist team serving patients at Watsonville Community Hospital.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), Salud is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective health care that meets the needs of the diverse communities we serve. In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team operating a 24/7 OB Hospitalist Program committed to excellent maternal and women’s health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based Obstetric and Gynecologic care for patients at Watsonville Community Hospital.
  • Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives and Family Medicine Physicians in Labor & Delivery.
  • Provide timely consultations in the Emergency Department.
  • Serve as a preceptor for Family Medicine residents rotating through the department.
  • Actively participate in Quality Improvement committees and hospital governance.
  • Maintain continuing education and professional development to ensure licensure compliance.
  • Keep all required certifications and licenses current (CA Medical License, CPR, Driver’s License).
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Principles, practices, and procedures in obstetrics and gynecology, including culturally sensitive patient care, informed consent, and shared decision-making.

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with staff, clients, community agencies, and the broader medical community.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid California OB/GYN Physician’s and Surgeon’s License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Eligible for hospital admitting privileges at Watsonville Community Hospital

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $343,792.95 – $379,598.34 annually
