Overview of Position Responsibilities:
- Interpreting Surgical and Cytology specimens daily
- Grossing of Specimens (histologists perform grossing of small specimens)
- Frozen Section Procedures
- Immunohistochemistry/Special Stains
- Tumor Board/Cancer Center Committee participation
- Medical Directorship for Site Location Labs
- Involvement in/and performing CAP Inspections
Job RequirementsCandidates should be BC/BE in AP/CP and will need a CA Medical License. While those with a fellowship are preferred, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.
Workload:
- Surgicals: 25-50 cases/day (two or occasionally three times per week)
- Hospital Coverage: Frozens, IntraOp Consults, Labs & Cytologies (two to three times per week)
- Specimens include: biopsies, excision, complex resections, head and neck, GI, GU, Skin, Lung, Breast, OB/GYN, Bone Marrow, Lymph Nodes, Prostate, Bone and Soft Tissue, etc…

REDDING, CALIFORNIA (USA). Our Northern California regional private practice, covering several hospitals and clinics, is seeking a full-time AP/CP pathologist for the beautiful city of Redding. We have fantastic views of the mountains of Lassen National Park and Mt. Shasta and are within 10 miles of the beautiful Wiskeytown and Shasta Lakes and the Shasta Lake Dam - and the famous Sundial Bridge traverses the Sacramento River that runs right through Redding. The Redding Municipal Airport also makes travel very convenient.
Pay Range$144.00 - $163.46 /hour
