Staff Psychiatrist Position at Wichita Falls State Hospital

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Psychiatrist to join our team at Wichita Falls State Hospital. As a Staff Psychiatrist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality psychiatric care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and administering treatments
• Collaborating with the Recovery Team to develop individualized recovery plans
• Participating in meetings and committees to drive necessary changes and improvements
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
• Providing leadership in the area of Psychiatric Services

Key Responsibilities:

• Establishing physician-patient relationships and treating individuals with effective medication
• Developing and implementing psychiatric recovery plans
• Collaborating with medical staff to develop psychiatric interventions
• Reviewing and monitoring system data to improve psychiatric care
• Maintaining communication with the Medical Director and staff for continuity of services
• Participating in mandatory training to provide quality psychiatric services

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.)
• Unrestricted Texas medical license and board certification in Psychiatry
• Minimum three years' experience as a psychiatrist preferred
• Experience working with individuals with psychiatric disorders preferred
