The Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking exceptional candidates to apply for the position of chief, Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology. The ideal candidate will be a fellowship-trained and accomplished cardiothoracic anesthesiologist at the Assoicate Professor or Professor rank with national prominence, and a well-respected, dynamic and innovative leader. Priority will be given to candidates with a proven track record of academic productivity, as demonstrated through high-impact publications, thematic-based research, and/or grant funding.

The Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Division within Duke Anesthesiology is one of the leading cardiovascular and critical care programs in the nation. Our world-renowned faculty provide comprehensive, cutting-edge care for cardiothoracic surgical patients in cardiothoracic operating rooms and ICUs in the Duke Medicine Pavilion, a modern surgical tower with 16 state of the art operating rooms, hybrid rooms, an imaging suite with MRI and CT technology, and five ICUs serving adult medical and surgical patients.
