Responsibilities
Ascension St. John is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join our growing practice in Owasso, Oklahoma. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that’s actively expanding to meet the needs of our community.
Position Highlights:
- $40,000 Sign-on bonus

Responsibilities:
- Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate
discharge planning with case management. - Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
- Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
Additional Preferences
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible.
