Expansion
Arkansas Children’s is undergoing an exciting expansion. In 2026, our ACNW hospital in Springdale, Arkansas, will create more resources, advanced tools and spaces tailored to children’s specific needs. This growth will bridge a gap for families from surrounding states who need higher levels of specialized care and will further reduce the need for Arkansas families to seek care outside the region.
In 2026, key enhancements to ACNW will include a new endoscopy suite for GI services as well as a redesigned and expanded lab, pharmacy and sterile processing for improved efficiency and future growth. To learn more and see renderings, visit archildrens.org/expansion.
About Arkansas Children’s and ACNW
Arkansas Children's is the only health care system in the state solely dedicated to caring for Arkansas' 850,000 children. The private, non-profit organization includes two pediatric hospitals with 361 licensed beds, a pediatric research institute and USDA nutrition center, a philanthropic foundation, a nursery alliance, statewide clinics, and many education and outreach programs — all focused on fulfilling a promise to define, discover and deliver unprecedented child health. ACNW operates an inpatient unit that will expand in 2026; a surgical unit with five operating rooms; outpatient clinics offering over 20 subspecialties; diagnostic services; imaging capabilities; occupational therapy services; and Northwest Arkansas' only pediatric emergency department.
