Responsibilities

Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital Evansville is seeking a BE/BC Pediatric Neurologist to join our pediatric multi-specialty clinic in Evansville, IN. This position is a unique practice model offering great work life balance in a consultative role with no after hours call responsibilities

The Pediatric Neurology clinic is part of a Pediatric Subspecialty Clinic at the Center for Children that includes, among others, Gastroenterology, Pulmonology, Urology, Hematology, Sleep, Child Abuse, Psychology and Nutrition Clinics. Other services available at the Center for Children include a Feeding Disorders Program, a Behavioral Health Clinic, and a Pediatric Therapy Program.  The Neurology Clinic is currently covered with part time pediatric neurologists. After hours, consults and EEGs are covered separately by a pediatric neurologist.  The clinic has a dedicated clinical team who provide teaching and support to all neurology patients and coordinate visits. A pediatric psychologist is also available to these patients, working closely with the neurology care team to provide a multidisciplinary approach to these patients. Our new physician will be taking over a part time practice with an existing patient base.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Fellowship trained in Pediatric Neurology
  • Four or more years post fellowship experience
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and team-based skills
  • Commitment to family-centered, evidence-based care
  • BC/BE in Pediatric Neurology

 Pediatric Services at PMCH Evansville

  • Established Pediatric Specialty Clinic including full-time GI and part time neurologist, pulmonologist, endocrinologist, dedicated pediatric registered dietitian and integrated pediatric psychologists. 
  • Full time pediatric cardiologist.
  • Monthly pediatric hematology and orthopedic clinics
  • Sleep Disorders Clinic.
  • 15 bed Pediatric Inpatient Unit with Pediatric Hospitalists
  • 7 bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Pediatric Intensivists
  • 32 Bed NICU 
  • Level II Pediatric Trauma Verification
  • Dedicated Peds/Adult Critical Care Transport Team
  • 7 bed Emergency Room area dedicated for children with dedicated providers
  • Behavioral based outpatient Feeding Program 
  • Outpatient Behavioral Health Program with pediatric psychologists and LCSWs
  • Outpatient Family Navigators to ensure continuity of care
  • Outpatient Pediatric Therapy Program (OT, PT Speech)
  • Pediatric Dental Clinic
  • Ronald McDonald House on campus

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
