Staff Psychiatrist - Join Our Team at Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center

Are you a skilled Psychiatrist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference? Join our team at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center as a Psychiatrist III. In this role, you will:

• Conduct advanced psychiatric assessments and provide specialized treatments
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to develop individualized treatment plans
• Lead discussions and implement necessary changes to enhance patient care
• Participate in Peer Review Committees and other clinically related committees
• Manage acute psychiatric care and medication reviews
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and ICF-IID standards
• Provide leadership in the area of Psychiatric Services

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish physician-patient relationships and conduct psychiatric clinics
• Develop and implement customized treatment plans based on individual needs
• Collaborate with neurology for dually diagnosed individuals
• Participate in restraint reduction efforts and post-chemical restraint assessments
• Review and analyze system data to improve quality of psychiatric care
• Maintain open communication with medical and facility staff
• Participate in various committees to ensure quality care for residents
• Manage staff within the psychiatric department and provide leadership

Requirements:

• Must be licensed as a medical doctor in Texas and Board Certified or Board eligible in Psychiatry
• Minimum three years of experience as a psychiatrist preferred
• Experience working with individuals with mental illness and intellectual disabilities preferred
