Electrophysiologist Physician – Full-Time | Prime Healthcare

Location: Chicago, IL

Join a dynamic, community-focused cardiology practice in the heart of Chicago as a BC/BE Electrophysiologist. St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital, a 361-bed cornerstone of care in the Ukrainian Village neighborhood (on the near northwest side, just 2-3 miles west of downtown Chicago's Loop), delivers compassionate, high-quality services to a diverse urban population.

Position Highlights:

  • 100% Electrophysiology practice in a tertiary care setting
  • Scope: ~16 hrs/week procedures; ~20 hrs/week clinic and device reads
  • Case Volume: ~2-3 procedures/day (depending on complexity)
  • Call: Minimal; practice-only call (no hospital call)
  • Support: Device clinic, NP support, and strong referral base from general cardiology and primary care
  • Full support from a comprehensive Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgery team
  • Collaborative hospital environment with advanced EP lab and cardiac imaging capabilities
  • Modern equipment for complex ablations, device implants (ICD, CRT), lead extraction, and more
  • Opportunity for teaching, research, and program development
  • Base Salary: $600,000 - $650,000+ (three-year guarantee with wRVU-based productivity incentives)
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, malpractice with tail, CME

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Fellowship-trained in Cardiac Electrophysiology
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and procedural skills
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and team collaboration

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $600,000.00 to $650,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
