Lead Psychiatrist Opportunity at Kerrville State Hospital

Job Summary:

• Direct, oversee, and conduct psychiatric examinations and diagnoses
• Administer psychiatric treatment and medication as needed
• Lead patient recovery team and provide guidance on treatment
• Review patient records and files to assess progress and effectiveness of treatment services
• Participate in committees and performance improvement activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement psychiatric recovery plans
• Collaborate with medical disciplines for dually diagnosed individuals
• Monitor system data and trends to enhance quality of psychiatric care
• Provide staff guidance and training for new employees
• Stay current with research on psychiatric and behavioral health treatments

Requirements:

• MD license in Texas and Board Certified/Eligible in Psychiatry
• Minimum 4 years of experience in psychiatry and working with psychiatric disorders
• Residency trained
