Job Description

IU Health Physicians is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team at a bustling level 1 academic trauma center. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in orthopedic trauma care and a passion for teaching and research within an academic setting. The position offers the opportunity to work on complex cases in a high-energy environment while contributing to the education of orthopedic residents and fellows. 

Position Details:

  • Level 1 trauma center- call coverage shared among group
  • Monday- Friday, 1 day clinic weekly, 1 block day, weekend call variable 
  • IU Health Methodist Hospital
  • ~20% Outpatient / 80% inpatient
  • Responsibilities include:
    • Adult patient population- serving level 1 trauma center downtown Indianapolis 
  • Proficiency in managing and surgically treating pelvis and acetabular fractures as well as expertise in repairing articular fractures and long bone injuries 

Qualifications: 

  • DO or MD 
  • Fellowship trained in Orthopaedic Trauma 
  • ABOS BE/BC in the United States
  • Ability to acquire Indiana medical license
  • Graduating fellows and experienced BC physicians encouraged to apply
